Jailbreak Unlock FAQs
What is the difference between jailbreak and unlock?
Jailbreak gives you the ability to install third party applications, use custom sounds and graphics. This way you can download applications that are not approved to be in the App store. Unlocking allows you to use your iPhone on a different cellphone network (other than AT&T and Verizon).
What is the difference between tethered and untethered?
A tethered Jailbreak, means that you will need to connect your iPhone to your computer and run the Jailbreak software whenever you need to re-boot your iPhone. The software on the computer helps the iPhone load during boot up. An untethered Jailbreak does not require the iPhone to be connected to your computer during boot up.
